July 2026 updates - Private Slack channels, reopening chats from email, and clearer push notifications

In July at NeetoChat, we added support for private Slack channels and made unread-message emails sign visitors back into their conversation. We also made mobile push notifications clearer, localized notification emails, and fixed several widget and email bugs.

Here's everything we shipped in July 2026 in NeetoChat.

New features ✨

Send Slack notifications to private channels

NeetoChat can now post to private Slack channels. Invite the NeetoChat app to the private channel in Slack, and it appears in the channel list, both on the Slack integration page and when an automation rule sends a message to a Slack channel. The channel list in the automation rule form also has a refresh option, so newly created channels show up without reconnecting Slack.

Visitors can reopen their conversation from email for 7 days

When a visitor receives an unread-message email, the Reply now link signs them back into the same conversation, even in a different browser or after their original chat session has ended. The link stays valid for 7 days, so visitors can pick the conversation back up where they left off.

Enhancements ✨

  • Mobile push notifications now lead with the visitor's name and say what happened, whether a new conversation was opened or a conversation was assigned to you or your group, instead of a generic "Conversation assigned".

  • Notification emails now arrive fully in your workspace language. Chat transcripts, unread-message reminders, agent-assignment emails, and the weekly report previously mixed a translated subject with English text in the body.

  • The All view in the inbox sidebar is now called Active, and its description spells out that it does not include Closed, Spam, or Trash conversations.

  • The article picker in the reply editor now has a close button, so you can dismiss it without inserting an article.

Bug fixes 🛠️

  • The recent-activity email sent to conversation followers now includes every new message since the previous email; earlier, some messages were missing from the digest.

  • The chatbot now starts its workflow only after the chat widget is fully connected, fixing cases where its first message never reached the visitor.

  • Fixed a slow lookup that could time out and keep the chat widget from loading.

  • Websites that pass an empty visitor name to the widget no longer break visitor tracking; the visitor is saved with a default name instead.

That's everything we shipped in July. You can follow us on X, LinkedIn and join our Slack Community for more updates.
